A Day In The Life Of A Student At Oasis Student Care Centre!

Our Children Arrives

Children are welcomed into a positive and refreshing environment here at Oasis Student Care Centre. Through the hallway filled with their artworks, children first go through the routine of recording their attendance and enhanced precautionary health check at the temperature taking station. They will then continue to freshen up after storing their bags and belongings in their respective individual cubbies.

Arriving at SCC
Oasis Lunchtime

Lunch Time is Here

Our cook ensures that our children have a balanced and healthy meals for lunch, and tea at Oasis Student Care Center. Carefully prepared meals and tea breaks ensuring a well-balanced nutritional diet.

In addition to providing healthier meals, this timing is also a opportunity to help reinforce to all students the benefits of balance, better food choices, and the experience of new tastes.

Rest and Relax Time

With happy and full bellies, our children get to kick back in our roomy play area with walls decorated with motivational posters and artwork. The children can spend time here, where they can explore different items that aid their development like the open library that has a variety of books and board games should the children be in the mood for a game.

Oasis Relax Time
Oasis Supervised Study

Supervised Study

This is when everyone gathers in a circle and lists out their homework from school if they have any as well as assessments assigned by our coaches to be completed in the center.

Before moving to the classroom, children are reminded of the classroom etiquette like raising of hands when they need assistance and keeping their volumes low when having discussions.

Our coaches will supervise the children’s work, ensuring that all the work from school is completed in the classroom whenever possible so that they will have quality time with their family at home.

Oasis Tea Break

Tea Break for Everyone

When the clock strikes 4:30pm, our children begin to clear their belongings and clean their study areas to prepare for a delicious tea time with friends. They get to enjoy snacks and a cup of warm milk or milo.

Once the snacking is done, our children clean up after themselves when tea time is over. For the fast eaters, they have a 30 minute reading session before the in-house enrichment programme begins.

In-house Enrichment

All settled down from tea time, we end the day with our enrichment programmes which focus on character education that aids in building a good foundation with values of self-care, caring for others and passion for the community through scenarios inside and outside of the classroom.

On top of learning values such as empathy, integrity and gratitude, students also get to discuss on topics of current affairs amongst themselves. Through this, students embolden their awareness and critical thinking.

With fully equipped computers in the center, the children are encouraged to practice self learning on their own.

One of the highlight programme that we integrate in our center is STEM - a curriculum based in real-world application, deriving from the concept of four different disciplines - science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

It Is Hard To Say Goodbye

Wrapping up, the students ready themselves for home by packing up their belongings and doing a bit of silent reading. They will say their goodbyes to friends and coaches. Goodbye dear children! We hope all of the children have enjoyed themselves. See you tomorrow!
